A place in downtown Binghamton, which has been home to a series of restaurants, bars and clubs for many years, is about to usher in a new life.

A representative of the company said that Aqua Nightclub is scheduled to open on December 2, when Binghamton University students will return to town after the Thanksgiving holiday.

The club will be located at 124 State Street, next to the municipal parking lot.

Online records show that the State Liquor Administration has issued a temporary liquor license for the agency to Luckid LLC, which is associated with an address in the West Side of Binghamton. The license went into effect on November 9th and will expire on February 6th.

Liquid Lounge was the last company to operate in the State Street building. In the past, Bar 607, Benlin's and Beaugart have been held here.

A new sign was installed in September, and some other exterior modifications were carried out.

In an online post, Aqua described itself as "the hottest and most compelling new university nightclub and party place."

The business representative stated that Aqua will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
